(Kingston, Jamaica – Tuesday, September 16, 2025 / 2:00pm) Power supply has now been restored to all JPS customers who were affected by outages caused by a generation shortfall earlier today.
With the resolution of one of the multiple issues impacting Independent Power Producers’ (IPPs) generation availability, JPS was able to restore power to customers by 1:45pm. The technical issue at the Exelerate Energy LNG facility was resolved as committed, enabling the restoration of normalcy.
