POWER RESTORED TO MOST JPS CUSTOMERS
FOLLOWING ISLANDWIDE POWER OUTAGE
(Kingston, Jamaica – Saturday, June 6, 2026 – 6:00 am) JPS has now restored electricity to the majority of its customers, following an all-island outage on Friday night (June 5).
As at 6:00 am (Saturday, June 6), more than 80%, or approximately 550,000 of the company’s 690,000 customers had electricity. JPS is assuring customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to all customers as safely and quickly as possible.
The company is continuing investigations into the cause of the power outage, and will provide further updates as they become available.
