Sections of Communities in St. James, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth to Receive Supply by February 28

(Kingston – February 13, 2026) With 97.5% of customers now restored and fewer than 17,000 awaiting reconnection, JPS has advised that electricity supply is scheduled to be restored to specific communities in St. James, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth by February 28. This comes as the Company honours its commitment to provide clear restoration timelines for customers still without service.

The communities scheduled to receive supply by February 28 include:

ST. JAMES: Sections of Stonehenge, Croydon in the Mountains, Retrieve, Fern, New Mills, Spring Field, Senior, Garlands/Mocho, Camrose, Lethe and Moore Park.

WESTMORELAND: Along the main road: Cave, Bluefields, Belmont and Belmont Academy. Sections of Auchindown, Whitehouse Beach Club, sections of Culloden, Culloden Early Childhood, South Sea Park, Border (Westmoreland & St. Elizabeth), Mackfield to Cornwall Mountain, Darliston, Bethel Town, Venture, Castle Mountain, Hertford, Petersfield, Roaring River, Fort Williams & Williamsfield, Friendship District to Strawberry, Church Lincoln, and Old Hope to Salmon Point.

ST. ELIZABETH: Sections of Santa Cruz, Maggotty, Balaclava, New Holland, Middle Quarters, New Market, Dry Harbour, Rocky Hill, Jointwood, Elderslie, Aberdeen, Thornton, Windsor, Round Hill, Mountainside, Galleon Beach (Crawford), New River, Cambridge, Brompton, Fyffes Pen, Cotterwood, Shrewsbury, Flat Rock, West Street, Logwood, Lovers Lane, Malvern, Park Mountain, Williamsfield to Pondside, Mount Pleasant and Slipe.

According to the Company, restoration in these remaining areas involves complex repair work and targeted rebuilding to ensure the network is restored safely and reliably. Despite the challenges, such as narrow and difficult terrain, intermittent inclement weather and ongoing redesigning and rerouting of line sections, JPS teams continue to work 24/7 to address thousands of defects across kilometres of electrical lines.

JPS has advised that a schedule outlining restoration timelines for customers still without supply beyond February 28 will be published at the end of the month as work continues across the western parishes. JPS thanked customers for their continued patience and understanding and reaffirmed its commitment to restoring power to every remaining customer safely and as quickly as possible.
