Prepaid Top-Up Service Temporarily Unavailable (December 6-7)

No Prepaid Top- Up Service

We are advising our prepaid customers that the top-up service will be unavailable for 12 hours, starting from Wednesday December 6 at 7pm, until the following morning, Thursday December 7 at 7 am.

This is to facilitate maintenance work on the pre-paid software. Prepaid customers are urged to top up ahead of December 6, to ensure that you have power supply over the 12 hour period. Regular top-up service will resume on Thursday December 7 at 7am.

Prepaid Maintenance FAQ

1. When will the maintenance start and end?

The maintenance work will start at 7:00 pm on December 6 and end at 7:00 am December 7; a period of 12 hours.

2. Why is JPS doing the maintenance work?

To improve the efficiency of the prepaid application/software.

3. How will the maintenance work affect customers?

Customers will not be able to top-up or purchase prepaid credit during the 12-hour maintenance.

4. Is it only prepaid customers that will be impacted?

Yes

5. Will prepaid customers be able to do transactions or business, other than top-ups, during the period of maintenance?

Yes. Although customers will not be able to top-up and purchase prepaid credit for 12 hours, they will be able to do the other usual JPS business transactions.

6. How do I prevent running out of credit during the maintenance work?

i) Check your balance two days before, as well as a day before the start of the planned maintenance.

ii) Make sure you have enough credit to last for the time of the maintenance exercise.

iii) If you are uncertain of your balance, go ahead and top up extra to be sure you have enough credit for the 12 hours of the maintenance work.

7. How are customers being notified of the software maintenance exercise?

We are communicating about the maintenance period through the media: Public Service Announcements on radio, print, text messages, email, WhatsApp and Social Media.

8. How will this maintenance exercise benefit customers?

An important part of serving our customers is ensuring our software and systems function as efficiently as possible. This maintenance exercise is to help with that.

9. Will prepaid customers be able to see how much credit/kWh they have left, while the maintenance work is taking place?

Yes, you will be able to see your balance during the 12 hour maintenance exercise.
