JPS Encouraging Some Hope Pastures Customers to Connect to Overhead Supply

A section of the underground network in Hope Pastures, has, after repeated repairs and rehabilitation efforts, come to the end of its useful life – having given over 50 years of service. In anticipation of this situation, JPS has already established an overhead network to facilitate connections for those affected residents in the community.

Customers who are now out of supply (23 in all), are therefore being encouraged to:

  • Have a licensed electrician install their pothead for overhead supply
  • Apply to the Government Electrical Inspectorate for recertification

JPS will continue to make every effort to serve all customers with reliable and quality power supply.
