An iconic business leader in the Jamaican private sector for over twenty five (25) years, Gary Barrow’s extensive leadership experience in several disciplines including Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Regulations, Human Resources, Government Relations, Business Transformation, Power Systems and Process Re-engineering have resulted in him attaining tremendous success in his leadership roles in several organisations. Prior to his current position as Chief Technology Officer at JPS, Gary was SVP for Energy Delivery. He previously worked in Trinidad and Tobago as Executive Vice President of mobile services for Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago, Senior Director of Regulatory Strategy, Cable and Wireless plc London and the President and CEO of Cable and Wireless Jamaica Limited. Gary also held senior positions in KPMG consulting and was instrumental in the delivery of a SCADA system in the Jamaica Public Service Company Limited early in his career. In addition, he has served, and continues to serve, as a Director on several Corporate Boards while chairing several committees on these Boards. Gary boasts a significant track record of success in all of his assignments and business critical projects which has earned him the respect of the Jamaican business community.
Gary Barrow holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Andreas School of Business at Barry University and BSc in Electrical Engineering with a Major in Computer and Power Systems from the Florida International University. He has also undergone extensive leadership development at INSEAD France, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Spain and the United States of America.
