Head – Projects Management & Engineering
David Cook has worked in the energy sector for over eighteen years and joined the team in 1995. His overall responsibilities include project management support for all new generation expansion opportunities including engineering and environmental permitting support.
He has a wealth of skills and experience in Management, Communications, Risk Management, Information Technology and Cost/Schedule Control. Mr. Cook was the local Project Manager for the implementation of the 120 MW Bogue Combined Cycle Generation Expansion Project (2001-2004).
His previous employment has included serving as Chief Engineer and Manager- Resource and Project Planning with the National Water Commission (NWC); Principal Engineer with Earle & Associated, Consulting Engineers as well as a Consultant to the World Bank.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration with Distinction from the University of the West Indies. His extensive list of memberships include President & Board Chairman of PMI Jamaica Doctor Bird Chapter (2009-12); Member of Jamaica Professional Engineers Registration Board (PE); Member of Jamaica Institute of Engineers (MJIE); Member American Society of Civil Engineers (MASCE); Member of Project Management Institute (PMI); Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and Boston University Certified Trainer for Project Management.
David is the father of three sons and enjoys hiking.
